Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. F&B Outlets Supervisors will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, as set by the Restaurant Outlet Manager. These operations can take place in a fast-paced environment and can require you to make quick decisions under pressure. It is a very rewarding role, as you are ultimately responsible for delivering superior food and beverage service to maximize customer satisfaction. This position will allow the right candidate to enhance their F&B experience by learning operational tactics, forecasting revenue, inventory management, COGS (cost of goods sold) etc.QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORKEXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year restaurant experience.
- One-year supervisory experience.
- Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations.
- Well organized.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Command of the English language
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of restaurant including tables and side stations.
- Assist in maintaining a smooth-running operation.
- Monitor food quality and service level.
- Monitor payroll and revenue.
- Provide a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests.
- Assist in inventory control.
- Maintain service standards.
- Responsible for daily paperwork including payroll, inventory, etc.
- Assist staff with any problems that may occur.
- Computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, including Word, Excel and Outlook including Calendar management, Open Table, Adobe Acrobat, POS Systems (i.e. SMS Teres). Exposure to scheduling, purchasing and point of sale systems
- Complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Complete ServSafe Responsible Beverage Service Course - or proof of current certification (i.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
- Cover all duties of Manager in that person's absence.
- Assist Manager with hiring and training of all staff.
ENVIRONMENT
