Restoration / Custom Autobody Technician Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Restoration / Custom Autobody Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on vehicle restoration, custom bodywork, fabrication, and repair work for classic and modern vehicles. The ideal candidate will take pride in craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail. Responsibilities Assess vehicle damage and restoration needs Perform panel replacement, rust repair, and body modifications Strip vehicles to bare metal when needed Fabricate custom metal parts, brackets, mounts, and patch panels Complete body straightening and frame alignment repairs Prep surfaces for paint including sanding, filler work, feathering, and seam sealing Install and align body panels, doors, hoods, bumpers, and trim Perform custom modifications including roll cages, spoilers, louvers, and chassis components Maintain accurate repair documentation and work logs Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Conduct final quality inspections before project completion Qualifications 1+ years of experience in autobody repair, restoration, fabrication, or related field MIG welding experience required; TIG welding experience preferred Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and restoration techniques Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and measurements Experience using body shop and fabrication tools including grinders, sanders, dollies, bead rollers, and shrinker/stretchers Valid driver's license preferred ASE certifications or I-CAR training are a plus Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to problem-solve and think creatively on custom builds Dependable with strong time-management skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, and manual labor Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working around dust, noise, paint products, and varying temperatures PPE required while working Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Performance incentive opportunities available Overtime opportunities available Paid time off offered after one year Ongoing training and advancement opportunities
