Retail Associate

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. You will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience at our gift shop, ensuring that customers leave satisfied with their purchases. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Process sales using the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring all items are scanned correctly. Maintain knowledge of current promotions and products to effectively sell to customers. Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness of the store. Handle returns and exchanges according to store policy. Provide support in resolving customer complaints or issues in a professional manner. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred. Strong cash handling skills and familiarity with cash registers. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of retail math is a plus but not mandatory. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. A positive attitude and strong customer service orientation are essential.
