Retail Floor Associate (sales, cashier, freight, customer service)

Island Home Center & Lumber is located on Vashon Island and has a full-time opening for a Retail Floor Associate. Ideal candidates work well as part of a team, can handle a fast-paced environment, and will have experience in retail sales and customer service.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide exceptional customer service while cashiering, assisting customers, downstocking, throwing freight, and deploying price stickers. Maintain property to Island Lumber Operational standards (ie: keeping stock displays clean and full, sweeping area when necessary, etc.) Assist customers with soil carry-outs and lifting items into cars.

WHAT WE'D LIKE YOU TO HAVE

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (carry-outs of soil & bagged garden products) Retail Sales and Customer Service experience Ability to work weekends and some holidays (required) Ability to work as a team and get along with coworkers Ability to follow instructions Basic computer skills and working knowledge of POS systems
