This role is primarily responsible for retail and customer interaction, as well as detailed product processing and inventory control: Greet customers, maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and work a full-time retail schedule between Monday-Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, and Saturdays 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Provide evaluation, quotation, purchasing, and sales services of precious metals, jewelry, and collectibles, delivering offers confidently and professionally, avoiding slang, and learning how to price and quote for metals. Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction, building sustainable relationships of trust and strong rapport through open and interactive communication. Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, file documents, and use the UCG Retail Precious Metals Trader role for processing transactions.Manage cash and inventory:
Daily end-of-day reconciliation of the cash drawer must be performed by comparing the physical cash count to the NetSuite Cash Drawer Daily Report. Maintain general upkeep of the showroom and be in charge of opening and closing. Offer to remove "easy" stones for customers who want them back. Responsible for quality control, processing, sorting, organizing, and preliminary grading of numismatic products. Compliance Process, evaluate and sort numismatic products for quality control. Authenticate scrap gold and other precious metal scrap using Hallmarks, XRF (X-ray fluorescence), and Sigma (electromagnetic waves) technology, covering products like scrap precious metal jewelry, sterling silver holloware and flatware, precious metal coins and bullion, and numismatic value coins and notes. Complete paperwork and process to grade numismatic products in inventory, and send numismatic products to NGC and / or PCGS for grading. Conduct basic inventory management utilizing Netsuite, including logging incoming product (receiving) and assisting with the preparation and staging of outbound orders (shipping fulfillment). Fill downtime by assisting the shipping and processing departments with overflow work as directed by the Operations Manager's daily email. Ensure all processing and retail transactions adhere to legal compliance requirements. Update all required internal reports daily and external reports as needed weekly. Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience within a detail-oriented environment required, with a strong background in operational processing, quality control, or inventory management. Five (5) years of retail experience is highly desirable. Demonstrates high level of manual dexterity to safely handle smaller coinage. Capable of regularly lifting 50-75 pounds using proper lifting techniques and able to work on foot (standing and walking) for extended periods of time. Strong arithmetic skills required, particularly the ability to quickly make calculations using percentages, decimals, and formulas. Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office Suite applications. Prior experience using ERP software (such as NetSuite), CRM, and POS systems is highly desirable. Ability to multi-task and balance multiple detail-oriented projects with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Experience in retail sales and/or customer service where customer interaction and quotations are required. Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal, phone contact handling skills, and capable of providing exceptional customer service. Knowledge of precious metals is a plus, but not required. Associate's degree preferred.Total Rewards Package:
