Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Direct Hire A retail pharmacist opportunity in Alamogordo, New Mexico offers a rewarding role within a grocery store pharmacy environment, part of a respected health system. This travel contract position, ideally lasting 13 weeks or longer, provides the chance to work in a community-focused setting with a secondary location nearby for occasional shift coverage.

Nearby retail location with occasional weekend coverageSchedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday:
9:00 AM - 6:00PM Wednesday, Friday:
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Closed weekends and six major holidays at the primary location Occasional weekend shifts at secondary location as neededKey Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medications following established protocols Maintain thorough patient medication profiles Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify their daily tasks Participate in medical emergency response efforts within the pharmacy team Conduct inspections of medication storage areas, removing outdated products Train and orient new pharmacy staff members Follow infection control procedures consistently during all operationsQualifications:
Active New Mexico Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain prior to start (mandatory) Minimum one year of experience as a registered pharmacist preferred APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification or commitment to obtain within 30 days Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willing to obtain within 30 days Ability to work across multiple retail sites including occasional weekends Strong communication and patient counseling skills Experience supervising pharmacy technicians in a retail settingAdditional Details:
