Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview We are looking for a professional and knowledgeable Retail Liquor Store Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining an organized, upscale shopping environment for our selection of premium spirits, wines, and craft beers.

Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement:

Greet customers and provide expert recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and local craft selections.

Merchandising:

Ensure shelves are fully stocked, front-faced, and organized. Install and maintain professional shelf talkers and promotional displays.

Point of Sale:

Accurately process transactions, handle cash/cards, and strictly verify identification to ensure legal compliance with all liquor laws.

Inventory Management:

Assist with receiving shipments, checking invoices for accuracy, and organizing the stockroom.

Store Upkeep:

Maintain a clean and inviting storefront, including dusting bottles and organizing tasting stations.

Qualifications Experience:

Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or the beverage industry is preferred.

Product Knowledge:

A foundational understanding of different varietals (e.g., Cabernet, Chardonnay) and spirits (e.g., Bourbon, Tequila) is a plus.

Compliance:

Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain the New Mexico alcohol server permit.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/move cases of product (up to 40 lbs).

Professionalism:

Self started with a polished demeanor suitable for a retail environment.

Position Details Schedule:

Part-time and full-time positions available; must be available for shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:

Base pay plus sales bonuses.

Pay:

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
