Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Full Time Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team at our Non Profit Thrift store. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have a keen interest in helping customers in a thrift store environment. This role involves engaging with customers, putting new merchandise out on the floor, putting clothes away from the fitting room, straightening sales floor, running cash register and helping sort and price clothing when needed. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide personalized service. Assist customers at fitting room and put clothing back onto the sales floor, ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience. Utilize basic math skills for processing transactions accurately at the point of sale (POS). Maintain stock levels on the sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and organized. Communicate effectively with team members , volunteers & management to ensure smooth operations. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele. Proficient in basic math and retail math for accurate transaction processing. Experience with POS systems for efficient sales handling. Retail Thrift Background a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with customers and team members. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader range of customers but not required. A proactive attitude towards learning about thrift and retail trends is essential. Drivers License & Diploma ( Graduate / out of High School) Dayshift Availability/ Store hours/ Available Saturdays is required. Current Retail, Cash register & customer service position Customer service / friendly personality a must.
