Retail Sales Associate

Sales Associate Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. This role focuses on assisting customers with pet products, livestock supplies, and lawn and garden products while ensuring a well-organized and efficient retail environment. The ideal candidate has an interest in gardening, pet care, or rural living.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide knowledgeable assistance on products such as animal feed, seed, fertilizer, and pet supplies Help customers select appropriate supplies based on their needs (e.g., livestock care, gardening, property maintenance) Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and keep the sales floor clean and organized Load heavy items (feed bags, hay) for customers as needed Receive deliveries, unload trucks, and organize inventory in storage areas Maintain product displays and ensure pricing and signage are accurate Stay informed on seasonal products and basic agricultural practices

Qualifications:

Previous retail or farm-related experience preferred Basic knowledge of agriculture, livestock, pet care, lawn and garden care is a strong plus Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks regularly Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment:

Combination of indoor retail space and outdoor yard area Regular lifting, bending, and physical activity required Weekend and seasonal availability may be required
