Retail Sales Associate

Working at this smoke shop is a unique blend of high-end retail and strict compliance. Current knowledge about products we carry helps guide customers to find the products they really need. Here is a break down of the key pillars/details of the job. The roll of this job in a nutshell, as a sales associate, you are the face of the store. Your primary goal is to provide expert product knowledge on everything from traditional cigars to modern vaporizers and glassware, all while insuring every transaction meets legal age requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer needs & sales Expert guidance to explain the difference between types of handpipes, water pipes, electronic devices to any enthusiast. Upselling, suggestive sales, asking if accessories are needed while customer is in store. Cleaners, coils, butane, or any other items to help them with their chosen products. Trouble-shooting. Helping customers setup devices or understand why their item isn't functioning correctly.

COMPLIANCE & SAFETY

Strict ID verification. checking ID's for every customer that comes in, this is a federal & state requirement. Product Handling. Safely managing fragile items during sales and inventory checks and products that may need to be checked and disposed of safely.

INVENTORY & MERCHANDISING

Stock management. Keep items stocked up front on the sales floor from our selection of backstock and if there are items that are low or out, alert the store manager or follow set protocols. Visual Appeal. Keep the store tidy, fresh, and clean as this is the environment we want our customers to be happy with as well as keeping it maintained for each shift/person on duty.
