Retail Sales Associate, UPS Store (Packing/Shipping/Printing)

This position is NOT a position to work for 'UPS' The Company (with the Brown Trucks). We do NOT deliver packages.• We are a local The UPS Store in Carolina Shores, NC searching for a great person to join our team! This position offers a fast-paced work environment with exciting daily customer interaction. The ability to multi-task and maintain composure and a pleasant attitude in a fast-paced environment is a must! Standing on your feet for your entire shift, including lifting and carrying packages will be required. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer skills, Internet skills, a friendly & helpful demeanor and a professional appearance. Due to the number of services we offer at our store our training takes up to 3-6 months. Therefore, this is a position only for someone looking for long-term employment. Our store is open 7 days a week to better serve our customers, so weekend availability is required. Our starting pay is competitive and based on comparable experience. Timely pay increases will be available due to related experience, on-the-job knowledge and skill.

Note:

December & January are our busiest months and employees will work more hours during those months. We cannot consider someone who is unavailable during December & January.

QUALIFICATIONS

Great people & communication skills Self-starter, who is able to learn and grow in a fast paced environment Outstanding communication skills Strong tablet and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites (preferred) Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Outstanding phone skills Ability to cross sell and up sell Prompt, reliable, and responsible with a team-oriented attitude Willing and able to work 30-35 hours per week including Saturdays and Sundays At least one year experience with a point of sales system/cash register Able to lift 40+ pounds and stand for 6+ hour shift Able to manage workload and prioritize multiple projects Graphic Design and Printing Experience a plus Ability to work under pressure •Applicants with previous work experience from The UPS Store, Fedex Office, Kinkos, Staples and/or print shops are HIGHLY encouraged to apply•

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Take ownership of the customer's shipping and printing needs while offering practical solutions Take action to learn all product and service offerings, needs solutions, and industry trends Operate all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others Practice good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members and leadership Maintain a clean and safe working environment
