Job Description
Retail Service Specialist
Opens and closes accounts, uses onboarding techniques, evaluates member needs, up-sells products, and maintains knowledge of internal trends and competitor rates and terms. Resolves problems from start to finish by clarifying the issue, determining the cause, and following through to resolution. Generates referrals through needs-based conversations, persistence, and objection handling. Makes sound decisions based on available information and increases member satisfaction through responsiveness and proactive service. The Retail Service Specialist will be the branch champion for all digital tools and resources. The RSS assists members in accessing and troubleshooting digital products, with the mobile and online banking platforms being key focus areas. The RSS also trains branch personnel on supporting members and serves as first-line digital troubleshooting support in the branch. Knowledge Requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to gather and analyze data Preferred experience in cash handling and clerical office work Strong sales and service skills Ability to operate a computer, phone, adding machine, and standard office equipment Interpersonal skills that present the Credit Union positively during member interactions Basic knowledge of deposit accounts and loan products Adherence to all federal, state, and credit union regulations and policies Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent College degree and/or sales experience preferred Work Environment & Physical Effort Normal branch/office environment Core Values

Pay is dependent on skill and experience. The top of the range reflects candidates with 10+ years in similar positions with comparable responsibilities. Position Summary This position builds rapport by establishing trusting relationships with members and providing consistent, high-quality service. Performs Service Representative transactions and account-opening processes accurately and in accordance with current practices. Verifies signatures and identification and adheres to all relevant regulations (Reg CC, BSA, OFAC, Patriot Act, Reg E, Reg DD, etc.).
