Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A respected community hospital-owned retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join their growing team. This position offers the chance to work in a close-knit healthcare environment where pharmacists play an active role in patient care, medication safety, and community wellness. The client is highly interested in direct hire candidates but is actively considering travel pharmacists for immediate 13+ week coverage while conducting a permanent search. Responsibilities Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently Counsel patients on prescription medications, OTC products, and medication therapy Monitor patient profiles for allergies, interactions, duplicate therapy, and appropriate drug utilization Supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacy technicians and billing personnel Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Maintain quality control standards and oversee controlled substance security Participate in 340B program initiatives and pharmacy-related committees Support antibiotic stewardship and other clinical pharmacy programs Maintain continuing education and stay current on pharmacy best practices Work Hours Monday through Friday Day shift schedule 8-hour shifts Full-time position Travelers considered for immediate 13+ week assignment Experience Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience required Retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred 340B experience preferred Supervisory or leadership experience preferred Experience working in independent or community pharmacy settings is a plus Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree required Active Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing required Additional Qualifications Strong communication and patient counseling skills Ability to thrive in a rural community healthcare environment Willingness to relocate or remain long-term preferred for permanent candidates Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy staff and healthcare teams Direct Hire Benefits Multiple medical insurance plan options Employer-funded Health Savings Account for employee-only coverage Dental and vision insurance 3.5% employer retirement match Flexible Spending Account options Education assistance program Employer-paid life insurance PTO, illness leave, and paid holidays Wellness and wellbeing incentives Discounted recreation center membership Additional voluntary group benefits

Pay:

Direct Hire:

$132k - $175k (based on experience)

Travel Contract:
