  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retinal Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic ophthalmology team.
In this vital role, you will assist in providing exceptional patient care by supporting the diagnosis and management of retinal conditions. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate medical documentation, and a positive experience for our patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on advancing eye health and vision preservation. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems Measure vital signs accurately and document findings to support clinical assessments Assist with optical testing procedures, including visual acuity, intraocular pressure measurements, and retinal imaging techniques Maintain aseptic technique during clinical procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control Support ophthalmologists during examinations by preparing necessary equipment and assisting with specialized retinal imaging and diagnostics Manage medical records with precision, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times Provide excellent patient care by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout visits Collaborate with front desk staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and appointment scheduling Support clinic operations through medical billing, coding, and documentation related to retinal services Contribute to a positive team environment by participating in ongoing training on physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinic protocols Experience Prior experience working in ophthalmology or optometry clinics is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology related to eye health, and ophthalmic diagnostic procedures Experience with EMR systems Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is required Previous experience working with pediatric patients (pediatrics) is a plus for supporting diverse patient needs Join us in making a difference in patients' lives through expert eye care!
