We are currently seeking an experienced Electric Motor Rewind Technician to be our Rewind Department Assistant Supervisor, to join our team for an immediate start. In this position you will be a key part of our rewinding team, to allow us to continue to grow and be competitive in our region.JOB SKILLS AS LISTED
Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions. Inspects parts as needed for incoming, outgoing, and quote building needs. Test conditions of windings. Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, and ovens. Dismantling and/or stripping of damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment. Illustrating and/or documenting all data relevant to unit's electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage, or intended serviceability. Operate cranes, forklifts, and various handheld power and non-power tools. Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment, including but not limited to: single-phase, three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors and transformers. Operates welders, grinders, and various other metal fabrication equipment to complete projects as needed for customer orders. Complete the required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis. Maintains a clean workstation; daily sweeping, decluttering, and replacing shop materials/tools to appropriate designated areas. A typical work week is 40 hours a week (5x8 schedule). 6am-3pm or 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. Overtime as needed based on customer needs.SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED / PREFERRED
Ability to professionally communicate and work well with others. Requires attention to detail and the ability to focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Ability to work in a fast paced & dynamic work environment. Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws determined by the Company, State, and Federal authorities. Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions and responds to management direction. Completes tasks in a timely manner.EDUCATION / TRAINING REQUIRED / PREFERRED
Must have previous rewind experience. High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred but not required. Must be able to work cooperatively in a team environment. Must be a self-motivated individual. Must show initiative. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. May be exposed to noise levels ranging from quiet to loud. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye and ear protection. May occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.BENEFITS
