Credentialing Specialist Rhode Island Counseling Associates - 5.0 Lincoln, RI Job Details Part-time $16 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills HIPAA Attention to detail Critical thinking Time management Full Job Description We are looking for a Credentialing Specialist that will be responsible for all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for all providers, both internal and external. Maintain up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and online systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers. Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed. Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers. Maintains corporate provider contract files. Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing providers. Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system. Ensures practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies and other entities. Processes applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges. Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information. Ability to follow PHI, HIPAA and other security guidelines Qualification 1 or more years relevant experience Other Skills/Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to endure large volumes of data entry & information management Strong time management skills, especially with demanding and recurring deadlines Ability to be innovative and establish priorities Keen Attention to detail and critical thinking
