Job Title:
RME Mechanical & Robotics Maintenance Technician II Job Description Our Client is seeking a skilled RME Mechanical & Robotics Maintenance Technician II to support the Operations Maintenance team by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated packaging, distribution, and material handling equipment. In this role, you will work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and robotic systems, ensuring high equipment reliability through quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures in a fast-paced, automation-driven environment. Responsibilities Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, automated conveyor systems, and related controls to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, including conveyors and other material handling equipment (MHE). Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, including high-speed automation and robotic systems. Diagnose and resolve issues in MHE systems using troubleshooting and diagnostic tools, focusing on root cause analysis and long-term solutions. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to support accurate installation, maintenance, and repair activities. Follow and demonstrate safety standards at all times, including adherence to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and internal safety procedures. Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create, update, and complete work orders, record maintenance activities, and track equipment performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and overall operational efficiency. Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members to prioritize tasks, coordinate repairs, and minimize impact on production. Utilize Microsoft Office applications to document maintenance activities, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with team members and leadership. Troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations and related control systems. Work with PLC-based control systems to support equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Operate and maintain robotic systems in accordance with safety and performance standards. Conduct inspections and diagnostics on complex industrial systems and equipment, documenting findings and recommended corrective actions. Essential Skills At least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of knowledge and practical experience with electrical and electronic principles. 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards in an industrial or maintenance environment. 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems. 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications. Hands-on experience with automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment. Background in running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and creating work orders for conveyors and other MHE. Experience with controls and robotics, including electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to identify and implement process and reliability improvements. Strong willingness to learn and grow within Our Client's Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) organization. Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and internal safety standards. Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical fields (preferred). 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field. 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems. You will regularly use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), along with standard diagnostic tools, test equipment, and Microsoft Office applications to manage and document your work. The role involves working on the operations floor and in maintenance areas around active equipment, following strict safety standards and OEM guidelines. Hours and shifts may vary based on operational needs, and you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary maintenance and operations team in a structured, process-driven setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Deltona, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
