Job Title:
Maintenance Technician II / Mechatronics & Robotics Technician Job Description This role supports a fast-paced operations maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment in a large, highly automated facility. You will work on material handling systems, including conveyors and robotics, and perform both predictive and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors and other automated systems. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance routines on material handling, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic equipment, following established documentation and procedures. Conduct battery changes and perform preventive maintenance on industrial batteries. Enter equipment downtime data into daily logs and accurately complete preventative maintenance (PM) sheets. Manage, update, and close work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Troubleshoot and identify problems with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, including automated conveyor systems and controls. Apply basic electrical knowledge to work with motors, components, and system wiring using blueprints and electrical schematics. Track, store, and organize department inventory, including spare parts and maintenance supplies. Follow and demonstrate safety standards and procedures in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and facility safety policies. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance processes. Operate and maintain robotic and high-speed automation equipment as part of daily maintenance activities. Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members to minimize downtime and ensure production goals are met. Essential Skills At least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical and electronic principles. 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards in an industrial or similar environment. At least 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems. At least 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Experience with automated conveyor systems, including motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematic-based work.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment, including diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and work order creation. Hands-on experience maintaining conveyors and other material handling equipment (MHE), including controls and robotics. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations systems. Experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to identify and implement process improvements. Willingness to learn and grow within a Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) environment. Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and facility safety standards. Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus in mechanical or electrical fields. 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field. 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems. Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Comfort working with high-speed automation and robotic equipment. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a large, modern distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and extensive robotic components. The environment is data-driven, with performance tracked through metrics and system reports to ensure expectations are met, while still allowing you autonomy in your day-to-day tasks. The role is physically active and requires comfort walking significant distances—up to approximately 10,000 steps per day—and safely lifting up to 49 pounds at a time. You will work around conveyors, material handling equipment, and other industrial systems, using tools, computers, and a CMMS to manage maintenance activities. All candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available across multiple shifts to support 24/7 operations. The facility emphasizes safety, adherence to OEM standards, and a structured, professional maintenance culture. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lewisberry, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
