36 hours/week 7p-7a Registered Nurse - Acute Care Unit Cary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care Unit. In this role, you'll provide patient-centered care by recognizing individual needs related to age, culture, and learning styles. You will support both organizational and unit standards while fostering a collaborative and cooperative environment with a strong focus on customer service. Duties Include but are not limited to: Completes admission assessment and recognizes actual and potential health problems. Completes admission assessment within 8 hours of admission (provisions made/documented i.e., Functional/Cognitive Status). Completes nursing assessment on assigned patients promptly and adequately, within an hour, to ensure patient safety and continuity of care. Performs medication list verification upon admission along with review of allergies. Continuously assesses patient response to illness intervention and use of critical thinking to problem solve. Documents completely and accurately. Effectively utilizes telemetry and camera systems. Must have an active valid Maine RN license. Meets the unit's annual competency training requirements. Obtains BLS certification within 3 months and maintain certification thereafter. Complete Basic Cardiac Course within one year of hire to department.Requirements:
