RN Assistant Director of Nursing Job Type:

$85,000 - $95,000 per year About the Role A well-established skilled nursing facility is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our nursing team. This leadership role focuses on maintaining high-quality care standards, regulatory compliance, and effective nursing operations. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations:
Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing daily nursing department operations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities. Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs. Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure seamless resident care. Participate in facility audits, surveys, and investigations as needed.
Quality & Compliance:
Monitor QI, QM, and survey reports, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Oversee infection control programs, including antibiotic stewardship and staff vaccination tracking. Ensure proper documentation, including medical forms, reports, and evaluations. Assist in developing and implementing plans to address deficiencies identified during audits or inspections.
Staffing & Development:
Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating nursing staff to maintain a high-performance team. Determine appropriate staffing levels based on resident needs and census data. Provide ongoing education and training to ensure compliance with best practices. Conduct daily rounds to ensure nursing staff meet quality care standards.
Resident Care & Advocacy:
Ensure residents receive the highest level of care and advocate for their well-being. Address and resolve resident concerns and grievances promptly. Oversee care plan meetings and ensure individualized care plans are up to date. Qualifications Active RN license (unencumbered) in Texas. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing (SNF) required. Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, reimbursement policies, and compliance requirements. Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing preferred.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8-hour shifts On-call availability required
