Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for overall functions of the office, including but not limited to staff supervision, scheduling, and acting as liaison for providers to resolve issues and/or concerns. Maintains patient charts with ongoing documentation. Assist in billing process. Answers office phones, runs reports as required. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Design and implement office policies, establish standards and procedures, organize office operations and procedures, supervise office staff. Conduct regular meetings with staff and providers. Attend weekly mentoring sessions with director. Review time cards and policy adherence for staff. Manage and organize provider schedules. Supervise and evaluate staff performance. Review and submit supply requisitions. Liaise with other practices, organizations and groups, nursing home facilities. Maintain and update provider organizational memberships. Handle patient questions, complaints, and billing inquiries to achieve same or next day resolution. Communicate with patients using web-based tools. Offer advice regarding financial decisions to protect/collect revenue and adjust patient accounts. Utilize mechanized systems to initiate and complete service orders and handle patient requests. Continually maintain working knowledge of all clinic products, services and promotions. Employ conflict management skills when handling staff behavior problems. Gain extensive knowledge in EPIC; including Cadence, Epicare Ambulatory and PB billing. Maintain all Rural Health Clinic, OSHA, HIPAA, and Compliance guidelines. Compiles and presents monthly administrative reports to include: Clinic Volume, Collections, Accounts Receivable, and Provider Productivity. Compiles quarterly provider worked relative value units (WRVU), reconcile with individual providers, calculate incentive payments and present to Administrator for final approval within fifteen days of contract quarter's end.Performance Expectations:
Demonstrates prompt and consistent communication with patients to accurately gather information, while maintaining quality patient care and upholding the We Care Philosophy. Demonstrates a working knowledge of office equipment to include computers, telephones, fax machines and copy machines. Demonstrates the ability to work well with others, as well as alone. Must be able to identify and resolve problems as they arise. Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and completes assigned reports timely and accurately. Demonstrate skills to appropriately communicate and interact with patients and families. Demonstrate ability to respect and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrate ability to work as a team member. Demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance and billing. Demonstrate aptitude with equipment including, but not limited to, Multi-line phone system, Windows based computers, Epic software, Kronos, Healthstreams, printers, fax, copier, scanner, calculator, credit card machine. Demonstrate aptitude with proper telephone etiquette and communications skills. Must be able to enter complete detailed messages into Epic and direct messages to the appropriate employee. Identify messages which need prompt attention versus those messages that can be entered into Epic for a return phone call. Demonstrate aptitude with scheduling appointments and maintaining provider/ancillary schedules. Demonstrate aptitude with collections, registration of patient information, and precertification processes. Demonstrate ability to maintain provider/employee schedules, maintain PTO/Sick/FMLA records, counsel/discipline employees, maintain communication with FGH Administration.Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
Graduate of a recognized accredited RN program required.Work Experience:
Supervisor/Management experience required. Requirements include medical insurance knowledge preferred; computer knowledge; excellent people skills, experience or training in office procedures in a medical environment preferred. Certification/Licensure-DUEUPON HIRE
Licensed RN able to practice within theState of MS Mental Demands:
