Job Description
Overview Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is searching for a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. This is a part-time, night shift position. This position reports to the Director of Critical Care Services. Responsibilities The RN will provide care that includes timely triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education to the ED patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordinating care from admission through post-discharge. including core measures, contributing to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds the CDPH, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements . Qualifications 6 months of recent ER or critical care experience in an acute general hospital required. Current CA RN License Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) required. CPI/AB508 or equivalent within 90 days of hire, transfer, or promotion. Completion of a critical care training program preferred. Proficiency in both written and oral English.
