RN - Director of Nursing

We are a 28 bed not-for-profit stand alone long-term and skilled nursing facility. Amazing ADON and MDS Coordinator to assist with duties.

Position Qualifications:

Current, valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa as required. 3-5 years Long Term Care experience. Excellent supervisory skills required. Working knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations and laws required. CPR certification required. Regular attendance is required. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. Organized, multi-tasker. Job Duties include, but are not limited to: On call rotation Knowledge/experience in restorative nursing and managing restorative programs Ordering of supplies Reviewing and implementing policies/procedures Attending QAPI Must be knowledge in MDS scheduling, completion and submission. Must be able to work under stress when confronted with critical or unusual situations. Oversee the Quality Assurance and Infection Control programs. Responsible for coverage of staff, working as needed as RN charge nurse including weekend and evening coverage on a PRN basis. Oversee pharmacy reviews, medication error reviews and monthly medication sheet changes. Responsible for completing nursing staff schedule. Ensure residents are safely and adequately taken care of.
