RN - ER - Local Contract

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Harris, NY. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing life‑threatening conditions.

Job Function :

Night Shift. 3x12: 7pm-7:30am. Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients with critical, life‑threatening conditions requiring rapid assessment and high‑intensity interventions. Provide emotional support, education, and clear communication to patients and families during emergency situations. Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, recognizing when early intervention is needed. Prepare patients for surgery, imaging, and diagnostic procedures. Perform essential emergency procedures including IV insertion, medication administration, blood draws, and airway support (intubation assistance). Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.

Job Requirements:

Active New York State RN License

• in good standing ACLS
• Required BLS
• Required PALS
• Required Strong Emergency Department experience Ability to manage high‑acuity, mixed‑age patient populations Competent with telemetry, drips, vents, and emergency protocols
