Summary:
Summary of Position:
Leads and directs the assigned nursing units that support the delivery of inpatient nursing care across the system. Works in partnership with administrative and physician leadership to develop, implement and monitor the financial and business operations plans. Develops plans to meet the needs of the patient population as it relates to the health system vision and department of nursing goals. Responsible for developing and/or organizing evidence-based systems and/or programs for the Behavioral Health units including but not limited to, ensuring efficient workflow, coordination of staffing needs, patient satisfaction, patient flow and throughput, quality improvement and workforce development and management. Creates a culture of service, continuous evidence-based improvement, and teamwork. Works closely with patient care areas, Nurse Managers, Administration and clinical staff to develop and implement clinical process improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.
Formal Education Required:
a. MSN in Psychiatric, Mental Health Nursing, or closely related/equivalent field; or Masters in Business or Healthcare related field b. Certification preferred, but required to obtain within two (2) years of employment. c. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) d. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio. 2.
Experience & Training Required:
a. Four (4) years nursing experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing. b. Two (2) recent years nursing experience in supervision, management in the acute inpatient hospital setting. c. Demonstrated leadership qualities. 3.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Possesses excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. b. Leadership skills including demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching and counseling skills, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support. c. Ability to work well within a team environment by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback, supporting team goals, and encouraging collegial relationships with others. d. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of individuals and establish and maintain professional relationships with key medical and clinical staff, partnering organizations and related organizations. e. Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. f. Ability to accurately analyze situations and make sound recommendations. g. Goal-oriented, able to achieve results in a large, complex, organization. h. Comfortable and proficient with multiple software systems including Epic, UKG, and various Microsoft platforms. 4.

40/hr The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
