Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This critical role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill patients across a diverse range of medical conditions. $2,254/week. for 36 hours Responsibilities Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilator support, IV infusion therapy, and complex medication administration. Monitor patient vital signs, assess physiological status, and perform comprehensive physical examinations to inform treatment plans. Manage airway maintenance, including ventilator management and airway clearance techniques. Administer medications accurately, including opioids for pain management and drugs for infection control or sedation. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation, order entry, and patient data management. Coordinate with physicians and specialists on diagnostic evaluation procedures such as cardiac catheterization, sonography, or laboratory testing. Implement aseptic techniques during invasive procedures like suturing or specimen collection to prevent infections. Conduct patient assessments related to trauma medicine, acute pain management, or infectious disease care. Experience Minimum of two years of ICU experience within a Level I or Level II trauma center setting preferred. Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures including ventilator management, catheterization (urinary or vascular), and ostomy care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is required. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (PICU), geriatrics (memory care), and individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards is essential. Prior involvement in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or post-acute care environments is advantageous. Strong understanding of physiology principles related to acute care scenarios and trauma medicine. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory. Additional experience in specialized areas such as hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, or behavioral health will be considered a plus.
