Qualifications Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) required through the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required through the American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required through the American Heart Association Seeking candidates who have a strong history of Endoscopy specific experience are preferred. Responsibilities Provides safe, competent, effective nursing care in accordance with hospital, OCC/PACUs standards of care, policies and procedures. When applicable, employees must be able to adjust the essential functions they perform appropriately to the age of their patient/customer. Demonstrates basic knowledge of care of the peri-operative/procedure patient. Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition. Reports pertinent observations or changes to appropriate physicians and/or clinical lead and implements emergency procedures as necessary. Demonstrates knowledge of arrhythmia recognition and treatment modalities. Administers medications and performs treatments as ordered. Maintains complete and accurate documentation. Ability to assess, treat and/or care for patients with regard to age. PACU treats infant to geriatric. Actively seeks the participation of members of the health care team and patient's family to ensure continuity of care. Prepares specimens and lab forms for laboratory analysis.
