Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in IV hydration therapy to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties Administer IV hydration therapies with precision, ensuring proper aseptic technique and patient safety at all times Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and hydration status evaluations Educate patients on hydration benefits, treatment plans, and post-care instructions to promote understanding and compliance Monitor patient responses during IV infusions, promptly identifying and managing any adverse reactions or complications Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, including infusion details and patient progress Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists in ophthalmology, cardiology, critical care, and pain management to coordinate comprehensive care plans Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to safeguard patient confidentiality and safety Experience Valid RN license with current state registration or licensure required Proven experience in IV infusion therapy, including working with complex cases such as dialysis or ICU patients Familiarity with advanced clinical procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including cardiac catheterization), tube feeding, and ventilator management preferred Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, or assisted living communities Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures necessary for accurate documentation and diagnostic evaluation Prior exposure to critical care settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or PICU is highly desirable Strong skills in patient assessment, pain management—including acute pain management—and health coaching to support holistic care approaches Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or those requiring memory care or behavioral health support Join us in delivering exceptional IV hydration services that make a meaningful difference in patients' lives!
