Local:
$1,735/36 hours Join a behavioral health/detox team providing acute care for patients experiencing substance withdrawal and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. You will conduct assessments, manage withdrawal and medication protocols, and help maintain a safe therapeutic environment while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted RN license for Pennsylvania Current CPR/BLS (ACLS preferred per facility) Experience in behavioral health, detox, psychiatric, or substance abuse settings preferred Strong clinical assessment skills for withdrawal and mental health presentations Ability to remain calm and professional managing high-acuity behavioral situations Key Responsibilities Perform thorough nursing assessments for detox and behavioral health patients Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms (alcohol, opioids, other substances) Administer medications as ordered, including MAT and PRNs Observe and respond to behavioral changes, mental health symptoms, and clinical decline Implement safety measures for suicide risk, elopement, and other precautions Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses Coordinate care with psychiatrists, counselors, and the interdisciplinary team Support admission/intake screening and discharge planning Provide patient education on recovery, relapse prevention, and medication adherence Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements If you are skilled in clinical assessment, medication management, and crisis de-escalation in behavioral health settings, this assignment offers meaningful work in a fast-paced environment.
