This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to recovery and quality of life. As an RN LTAC, you will be at the forefront of patient-centered care, utilizing your advanced skills to support individuals transitioning from acute hospital settings to long-term recovery. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, including ventilator management, wound care, and medication administration. Conduct detailed patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physiological evaluations to inform treatment plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care strategies aligned with patient needs. Manage invasive procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, and suturing while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication management, and discharge instructions. Monitor for signs of acute pain or infectious disease complications and respond promptly with appropriate interventions. Requirements Valid RN license with current state registration. Critical care experience in settings such as ICU, trauma centers, or emergency departments is highly preferred. Proficiency with EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care environments is advantageous. Ability to perform advanced procedures such as tube feeding management, ventilator support, and laboratory specimen collection. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and documentation standards for accurate medical records. Excellent assessment skills combined with compassionate patient care delivery in acute and post-acute settings. Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or specialized training in trauma or infectious disease care are desirable.
