7:00 Pm to 7:00 Am Weekly hrs.: 36 hrs.

Duration:

13 weeks Duties Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in medical-surgical units, including assessments, vital signs, and medication administration Perform detailed patient evaluations, including physical examinations and physiological assessments, to inform treatment plans Administer IV infusions, injections, and medications following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpreting results using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner Manage patient airway care, ventilator support, and tube feeding for diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics Conduct wound suturing, catheterization (including Foley and central lines), and ostomy care as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and triage for urgent or complex cases Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9) Support infection control practices and adhere to NCQA standards for quality care delivery in acute or post-acute settings Requirements Valid RN license with current state licensure or compact license for multiple states if applicable Proven experience in medical-surgical units or similar acute care environments; ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience highly preferred Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to inpatient care Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation and order entry Critical care experience including ventilator management, ICU procedures, or trauma medicine is advantageous Ability to perform complex procedures like IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and specimen collection efficiently Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on acute pain management and behavioral health considerations Familiarity working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays in various settings such as assisted living or memory care units Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or urgent care centers while maintaining high standards of patient safety
