Where You'll Work Founded in 1938, Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a 25-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Mt. Shasta, California. Serving over 40,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level III Trauma Center, heart care, cancer care, and a family birth center. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.
Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written treatment plan, standards, and practice guidelines. Re-evaluates patients on an on-going basis. Participates in the planning of routine transitional care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options). Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care. Utilizes a broad base knowledge of psychosocial, socioeconomic, age, and culture concerns and able to incorporate this into the patient treatment plan. Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems. Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience. Identifies patients who meet criteria for Ambulatory care services, patient with multiple chronic illnesses, catastrophic disease, functional impairment affecting ADS's, new diagnoses requiring education, long term care needs, social issues, Visiting Nurse Referrals, and any financials that may affect access to health care. Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict. Seeks counsel for resolution of conflict.

Job Requirements Requirements:
One year in a Clinic Setting or One year experience Acute Care experience or One year experience Home Health/Public Health experienceEducation:
