Job Description
Public Works Road Worker Job Summary:
Patton Township is accepting applications for a full-time Public Works Road Worker. The daily Public Works Road Worker duties include: heavy equipment operation, road maintenance and construction, winter maintenance, maintenance of Township drainage system, asphalt and concrete work, mowing and landscaping, upkeep of Township parks, assist in leaf and brush collection, and flagging operations to name a few.Requirements:
Ability to work outside in variable weather conditions for 8+ hours per workday performing physical labor. Ability to work with a team Valid driver's license Class B CDL is required issued in Pennsylvania; a Class A CDL is desired. High school graduate or equivalent is also required Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, criminal, and drivers background checksTownship Benefits:
Typical work hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm. Work hours and duration could be adjusted during winter operations. Starting Wage D-14 on the Patton Township Salary Schedule, $22.88/hr based upon a mutually agreeable starting date. With satisfactory completion of a six-month introductory/probationary period you will receive a one-time bonus of $500 for having a class A CDL, and eligible for a salary increase to D-16 on the Patton Township Salary Schedule, $23.46/hr.Standard Township benefit package includes:
Health Plan coverage for you through Capital Blue Cross, Employee contributes 12% of premium at desired level of coverage (single, couple, employee + children, family) Dental Plan (tiered reimbursement) for you and dependents (children until 26, up to $3,000 per year each) Vision Plan for you and your dependents of $200 per year for eye examinations and $400 every year towards hardware for employee and dependents.Health Reimbursement Account:
$600 per year per family Life insurance of $100,000. Pension Plan (3.5% mandatory employee contribution, 6.5% Township match, 100% vested after 7 years, employee directed investments) Optional Deferred Compensation Plan (457) Disability coverage is also available if you choose to participate Eleven paid holidays, 2 weeks paid vacation per year accrued monthly, sick leave accrued at 1.5 days per month, 40 hours personal leave per year pro-rated for start date. Boot Allowance and prescription safety glasses. Work uniform also includes insulated coveralls and jacket in alternating yearsEmployee Assistance Program Pay:
