Mark-A-Lot, Inc., a leading parking lot line painting and maintenance contractor on the South Shore, is hiring for the 2026 spring season. Positions Available:
  • Experienced Line Stripers & Crew Leaders
  • General Laborers (no experience required
  • we train motivated learners)
  • Litter Control Vac Truck Drivers (overnight shift)
  • Experienced Diesel Mechanic (full-time or part-time)
What We're Looking For:
Reliable, safety-minded team players with a strong work ethic. Experience in commercial construction, paving, landscaping, or related trades is a plus. We are willing to train the right candidates.
Job Highlights:
Outdoor, hands-on work in various weather conditions Variety of tasks by role: road surface preparation, traffic line painting, seal coating, crack sealing, vacuum truck operation, and equipment maintenance (mechanic position) Career growth and leadership opportunities with strong performance and commitment Safety-first work environment Overtime opportunities Year-round work available for strong performers Work hours vary based on weather, project schedules, and client needs. This is not a routine 9-5 position. Candidates must be flexible and available for early mornings, late finishes, and overnights (by role). Weekend and holiday work is required based on business needs (balanced with team scheduling and advance notice whenever possible).
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience, demonstrated skill level, reliability, and professionalism. Starting rates vary by position and individual qualifications. Most candidates will enter at an entry or intermediate level and progress as they demonstrate proficiency in MAL's training methods, safety standards, documentation requirements, communication protocols, and professional conduct.

Minimum Requirements (Required Prior to Hire Consideration): Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical, active outdoor work, with or without reasonable accommodation Valid OSHA 10 Construction certification required Valid DOT Medical Certificate required for applicable field and safety-sensitive positions Ability to successfully pass a CORI/background check, where applicable Commitment to a drug and alcohol-free workplace
