Job Description Doral Academy of North Carolina's mission is to provide quality instruction, high expectations, and a standard-based curriculum with a focus on Robotics and Engineering. Robotics & Engineering Instructor Doral Academy of North Carolina is seeking a passionate and innovative Robotics & Engineering Instructor to build and lead a hands-on, real-world learning program that prepares students for careers in engineering, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. This is not a traditional teaching role — this is an opportunity to design and grow a cutting-edge program where students learn by building, coding, designing, and solving real-world problems.

$46,057.00 - 79,248.00 per year Work hours: 8:20AM - 4:20PM Who We're Looking For We are seeking someone who:
  • Has experience in engineering, robotics, mechanics, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Is passionate about working with students and sharing real-world skills
  • Enjoys building, creating, and problem-solving
  • May or may not come from a traditional teaching background
  • Non-traditional candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Industry experience may be considered in place of a teaching license. Program Development & Instruction
  • Design and implement a hands-on robotics and engineering program
  • Lead students in building projects such as robots, drones, mechanical systems, and prototypes
  • Teach foundational skills in engineering design, coding, fabrication, and problem-solving
  • Develop a maker-centered classroom environment with tools, kits, and real-world applications Real-World Application
  • Prepare students for robotics competitions, showcases, and industry-relevant projects
  • Integrate tools such as 3D printers, robotics kits, CAD software, and automation systems
  • Build partnerships with local companies in engineering, manufacturing, and technology Student Impact
  • Help students develop career-ready skills in high-demand fields
  • Guide students in capstone projects and portfolio development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in robotics, engineering, mechanics, manufacturing, or related field
  • Experience working with youth, coaching, mentoring, or training others
  • Familiarity with tools such as robotics kits, CAD, 3D printing, or coding platforms Bonus (Not Required):
