As a Room Attendant at the Trumbull Marriott Shelton, you play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and memorable stay. You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms, contributing directly to our reputation for excellence in hospitality. Your meticulous work helps create a welcoming environment for every guest.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleans and prepares guest rooms according to hotel standards. Makes beds, changes linens, and replenishes amenities. Vacuums , dusts , and mops floors in guest rooms and bathrooms. Empties trash receptacles and removes all debris from rooms. Ensures all appliances are in working order and reports any maintenance issues. Manages laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens. Stocks and organizes housekeeping carts with necessary supplies. Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and reports shortages to supervisor. Provides exceptional customer service and responds to guest requests promptly. Addresses guest inquiries and resolves complaints in a professional manner. Adheres to all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is an asset.

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Excellent customer service and guest relations abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions:

Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
