Job Description

Rotary Wing Sales & Business Development Director Position Overview The Air/Rotary Wing Sales & Business Development Director is the lead for segment planning and business development associated with Beaufort's rotary wing business. Beaufort provides critical safety and functional items for aircrew. This position also serves as the business development lead for tri-service aviation and US Coast Guard customers. The Rotary Wing Segment Leader is a key member of the team and an essential contributor to the ongoing development and execution of our corporate strategy. Primary customers include tri-service aviation and US Coast Guard customers. Key Responsibilities Develop, align, and communicate the strategic plan and growth objectives for the Rotary Wing market. Achieve performance targets. Develop and implement the Go-To-Market plan for the Rotary Wing segment. Lead/contribute to defining the product portfolio across Beaufort's portfolio for the Rotary Wing segment. Provide Voice of the Customer (VoC) to the Beaufort design group and marketing teams. Prioritize, justify, and capture Rotary Wing program wins while generating Return on Investment in the Rotary Wing segment. Lead and facilitate global business development activities for the Rotary Wing segment, tri-service aviation, and US Coast Guard customers. Lead and facilitate a cross-functional Beaufort integrated product team (IPT) for the Rotary Wing segment. Develop annual budget and maintain 6-quarter forecast and 5-year Medium Term Plan for the Rotary Wing segment: tri-service aviation and US Coast Guard customers. Provide sales demand forecasting input within Beaufort's Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to ensure timely and effective delivery. Build relationships with key customers in program offices and end-user Rotary Wing, tri-service aviation, and US Coast Guard customers. Grow Beaufort below-the-neck content in the Rotary Wing segment beyond Beaufort's core products. Support sales and business development teams as they pursue Beaufort strategic goals worldwide. Education A four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is required. An understanding of the military aircraft operational environment will complement the position. Experience The candidate must have experience in business development, marketing, and sales of military products with at least 10 years in business development, program proposal & capture, sales/marketing role or equivalent military experience. Experience working and interfacing with US and international militaries is beneficial. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Cross-functional team facilitation. Executive leadership capability to develop strong relationships internally at all levels and externally to represent Beaufort well while developing strong business relationships. Ability to influence and motivate those outside direct span of control. Ability to differentiate between and implement strategic and tactical plans; and ability to define and execute both types of plans. Create strong Business Case Analysis of products and programs. Strong understanding of and relationships with targeted customer community. Defining outcomes/objectives and aligning cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of how to access markets and our 'economic engine'. Excellent conflict resolution, collaboration, and prioritization skills. Ability to plan and assess financial impact and forecasting. Skilled at capturing Voice of the Customer. Strong presentation skills to engage the attention of customers, partners, and colleagues. Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written abilities, excellent listening and feedback skills, and the ability to provide strong direction. Ability to develop people and teams to achieve objectives and improve talent. Experience with Salesforce or similar customer relationship management (CRM) system preferred.
