Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a vital clinical role where your expertise in respiratory care directly improves patient outcomes. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Respiratory Therapist, especially those who hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule/Hours:
Night shifts: 7:00pm-7:30am 32 hours per week Includes weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications:
Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Proficiency in respiratory therapy therapies and protocols Experience operating ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and related respiratory equipment Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain prior to start) Professional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative setting
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory care, including assessments, treatments, and therapy monitoring for diverse patient populations Respond promptly to code blue and rapid response calls, providing airway management and life-saving interventions Review, initiate, and adjust ventilation settings based on physician orders and patient response Educate patients and their families about respiratory care plans, therapies, and at-home measures Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated, patient-centered care Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with policies and regulations Why This Role?
