Focus:
The Rubber Liner Technician is responsible for the proper application of rubber lining and protective coatings in accordance with the lining and coating manufacturer's specifications and procedures. Individuals in this role are expected to perform all duties and work with other associates.
Rubber Liner Technician Essential Functions:
Follow all plant operating and safety policies and procedures to make on-the-job decisions to permit safe and efficient operations of the area and the overall plant, according to specified and delegated authority Remove and dispose of old lining material in accordance with environmental considerations Prepare substrate for lining or coating applications in accordance with ASTM profile specifications Responsible for quality control of adhesive applications and proper drying times Apply lining or coating according to procedures outlined by the manufacturer Perform other duties as directed by the Area supervisor
Rubber Liner Technician Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing experience; 2 years of experience in rubber application of railcars, or similar applicable experience preferred Must meet the physical requirements, including, but not limited to, standing, bending or stooping for extended periods of time, working in an outdoor environment year-round, handling tools and equipment, climbing stairs and ladders, and climbing onto tracks and into rail cars Must meet medical requirements for Confined Space work, 18" or smaller is required Able and willing to travel up to 20% of time, usually overnight Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license An All-In Investment in Your Future As a global leader in both chemical manufacturing and ammunition, Olin empowers over 8,000 individuals to make an impact both at work and in our surrounding communities.
