Position Summary :
Kelly Engineering is seeking a Safety Engineer for our client, a global semiconductor packaging and test services provider. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This role supports construction and operational safety for their new OSAT factory, promoting a strong safety culture and risk mitigation across all phases of the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and implement construction safety management plans. Monitor compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety regulations and internal standards. Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for construction and operational activities. Support
ISO 45001
compliance and maintain documentation. Develop and deliver safety training sessions for employees and contractors. Perform regular site inspections and audits to identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions. Prepare EHS reports and maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve work methods, safety practices, and equipment usage. Develop and implement safety programs for long-term operations. Provide on-site support during emergencies and assist with incident investigations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in safety engineering or EHS compliance (construction or semiconductor manufacturing preferred). Knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA codes, and relevant safety regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills for training and reporting. Proficiency in MS Office and EHS management software. Ability to work in varied environments, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP). OSHA 30-Hour General/Construction Industry Certification. Experience with
ISO 45001
implementation and audits. Background in semiconductor facility safety or cleanroom operations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various weather conditions and awkward positions. Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and adjust heavy objects. Exposure to sharp, hot, and cold equipment. Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator. Ability to climb ladders, work at elevation, and in confined spaces with PPE.
Location:
