Safety Officer Glass House Brands, Inc. - 1.5 Carpinteria, CA Job Details Full-time $22 - $24 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Spanish English High school diploma or GED Task prioritization Cross-functional collaboration Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Summary Responsible for monitoring and controlling access at a designated entrance point. Ensures only authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles enter the premises. Maintains safety, verifies credentials, and logs daily activity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Gate monitoring / Signing in visitors / Checking Employee Badges Various administrative services as needed. Manage and reduce incidences of injuries and non-compliance of company protocols. Ensure incident reporting is done in a timely and well documented manner. Assist in tracking and reporting all injuries and submitted claims. Monitors "Modified Duty Employees" with tracking appointments, depositions, and changes in medical status. Assist in completing safety and other audits / inspections as necessary. Assist in Human Resources new position dissemination & orientation training. Work with Managers, Supervisors & employees in ensuring protocols are being enforced. Provide employees monthly, quarterly, annual, and refresher training as needed. Complete monthly internal inspections while tracking corrective actions. Ensure all employees are trained and adhere to all worksite safety, hygiene protocols and compliance standards. Supervise and delegate to the safety team any items pending when Safety Supervisor / Director is not onsite such as trainings, schedules, orientations, employee WC doctor's appointments or follow up. Monitor and interact with 3rd party security companies as needed. Education and/orExperience High School Diploma Past Safety Experience Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years of age. Bilingual, (English & Spanish). Able to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to maintain a positive attitude. Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point & Excel. Email Communications. Authorized to work in the United States. This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week Must be able to write and communicate effectively with the entire team.
