We are seeking a proactive Site Safety Officer to lead on-site safety efforts, ensure full OSHA compliance, and create a culture where safety is embedded in every phase of construction. The Role You will be the on-site authority for safety—partnering with construction teams to prevent incidents before they happen, enforce standards, and keep projects running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Lead and enforce site-specific safety programs aligned with OSHA, EHS, and project requirements Conduct routine inspections, hazard analyses, and risk assessments to proactively identify issues Run daily safety oversight, ensuring all trades operate in full compliance Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing training for crews and subcontractors Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; implement corrective actions and reporting Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to integrate safety into daily operations Maintain accurate documentation including inspections, training logs, and incident reports Promote a clean, organized, and safety-first jobsite culture What You Bring Experience in construction site safety with strong knowledge of OSHA standards OSHA 30 required;

OSHA 500

strongly preferred Proven ability to lead safety initiatives in fast-paced construction environments Strong communication skills with the confidence to enforce standards on-site Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Experience using construction or safety management software Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Branford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
