About the Role Pocas International Corp. is seeking a Sales + Account Development Associate to join our headquarters team in South Hackensack, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer communication, order processing, account support, sales development, and cross-functional teamwork. The position is more than a traditional sales support role. It offers the opportunity to learn the import and distribution business, support customer growth, assist with account development, and help the company expand into new product categories including food and beverage, specialty products, and potential K-beauty / cosmetics lines. The successful candidate will support customer relationships, assist with order processing and customer follow-up, gather market and competitor insights, and help drive sales opportunities across our growing global product portfolio. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Communication & Account Support Communicate professionally with new and existing customers regarding product information, order status, availability, pricing, promotions, and general account support. Serve as a reliable point of contact for customer inquiries, follow-ups, and day-to-day account communication. Build, maintain, and strengthen positive business relationships with customers. Support customer satisfaction by responding clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner. Follow up with customers on open matters, including order-related questions, product requests, payment-related communication, and account support items. Order Processing & Internal Follow-Up Support customer order processing from initial communication through internal coordination and follow-up. Work closely with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, Purchasing, Marketing, and Accounting teams to help ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer service. Track customer requests, order updates, backorders, inventory questions, and follow-up items. Maintain organized records, notes, reports, and communication history related to customer accounts and order activities. Help identify and communicate potential issues that may affect customer satisfaction, delivery timing, inventory availability, or account performance. Sales Growth & Account Development Support account development activities to grow customer loyalty, sales opportunities, and long-term business relationships. Identify sales opportunities through customer communication, market observation, and internal sales data. Assist in developing account growth plans, promotion ideas, and customer engagement strategies. Communicate product information, promotions, new item opportunities, and company updates to customers in a professional and timely manner. Participate in customer meetings, product presentations, local/regional customer visits, and trade shows as needed. Market Insight & Business Expansion Support Conduct basic market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing insights, product opportunities, and customer needs. Share customer feedback, product requests, and market observations with Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, and leadership teams. Support business expansion efforts into new product categories, including K-beauty, cosmetics, and related specialty or lifestyle products. Assist in identifying customer interest, product fit, and sales opportunities for new product lines. Support leadership with sales forecasting, customer feedback, and business development initiatives. What We Are Looking For Strong customer communication skills, with the ability to speak and write clearly, professionally, and accurately. Experience or strong ability in order processing, customer follow-up, account support, or sales coordination. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build positive and professional relationships. Strong organization, follow-up skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Attention to detail and ability to communicate accurately across departments. Confidence in speaking with customers, presenting ideas, and asking good questions. Curiosity about global products, food and beverage trends, K-beauty / cosmetics trends, customer behavior, and business development. Positive, resilient, and professional attitude in a fast-paced business environment. Self-driven and disciplined, with a desire to learn, improve, and contribute to company growth. Preferred Experience Experience in sales, customer service, account support, order processing, business development, or client-facing roles preferred. Experience in food and beverage, wholesale distribution, import/distribution, retail accounts, or specialty product sales is a plus. Experience in K-beauty, cosmetics, skincare, beauty retail, beauty distribution, or related product categories is a plus. Experience communicating with customers, processing orders, coordinating with internal departments, or supporting account growth is strongly preferred. Familiarity with customer follow-up, sales reporting, product presentation, promotion support, or market research is helpful. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in sales, customer service, business, marketing, food and beverage, cosmetics, distribution, or a related field. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. Ability to work on-site at the South Hackensack, New Jersey headquarters. Ability to travel locally or regionally for customer visits, meetings, or trade events as needed. Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus, but not required. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary range: $50,000-$60,000 , based on experience, qualifications, and business needs. Health insurance, subject to applicable plan terms.
