Job Description

Spikes and Houles Feed Stores is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Administrative Support Specialist to support operations across our five feed store locations. This role is essential in ensuring smooth order processing, strong customer communication, and consistent support for sales, marketing, and events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering excellent customer service in both in-store and online environments. Key Responsibilities Sales & Order Support Process and support customer orders (in-store and online), including order entry, tracking, invoicing, and follow-up Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding orders, products, pricing, and promotions Coordinate with store teams, warehouse staff, and logistics partners to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment Assist with special orders, bulk orders, and inter-store transfers Maintain accurate customer and sales records in POS and order management systems Customer Service Provide professional and timely support via phone, email, and online platforms Resolve order issues, returns, and customer concerns in collaboration with store leadership Help ensure a consistent and positive customer experience across all locations Event & Promotional Support Assist with planning and coordinating in-store events, clinics, promotions, and customer appreciation days Support logistics such as scheduling, materials prep, and vendor coordination Track participation and assist with post-event follow-up and reporting Marketing & Communication Support Support execution of marketing efforts including email campaigns, website updates, social media, and in-store signage Help maintain accurate product listings, pricing, and promotions on the website and e-commerce platform Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all store locations Administrative & Reporting Support Prepare sales reports, order summaries, and basic analytics Maintain marketing materials, calendars, and event documentation Assist with general administrative duties and internal communications Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business, marketing, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in sales support, administrative support, retail, or customer service Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to support multiple locations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with POS and order management systems preferred Experience with e-commerce platforms is a plus Familiarity with agricultural, feed, or retail environments preferred Experience supporting marketing campaigns or events is a plus Core Competencies Customer Service Excellence Time Management & Multitasking Team Collaboration Problem Solving Attention to Detail Marketing & Event Support Physical Requirements Regular standing, walking, and use of hands and arms Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and stooping Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally Visual ability including color recognition and focus adjustment Why Join Us?
