Overview Art and jewelry sales in Kauai hotels. Looking for a friendly, responsible, mature and long term team member. Must enjoy talking story with visitors. 2-3 shifts per week at Hyatt Poipu and Royal Sonesta, KauaI, Wednesdays and Sundays 7:30-2:00 pm Possibly Saturday 7:30-2:00 Responsibilities include set up and break down, engaging customers, explaining the jewelry and art's symbols and meanings. 20.00 per hour plus commission Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and actively engage them in exploring our art and jewelry collections Assist customers with product selection, upselling complementary items to enhance their purchase experience Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions and receipt issuance Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts Run Instagram live sales. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with replenishment tasks Requirements Proven experience in retail sales, preferably within jewelry store or gallery environment. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a retail setting Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct product demos confident Familiarity with Square POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math calculations Excellent customer service skills. Enjoys talking story with guests from all walks of life. Experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous but not required This role is perfect for mature friendly individuals who thrive on connecting with customers and showcasing their knowledge of art and jewelry.
