  • Full-time We are currently seeking a Director of Sales & Business Development for a growing industrial electronics and manufacturing organization focused on expanding its commercial construction and service operations.
This is a highly visible executive leadership opportunity reporting directly to the President and playing a key role in shaping the company's long-term growth strategy, customer engagement initiatives, and revenue development efforts. This opportunity is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven business development leader who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and enjoys building scalable systems, strengthening customer partnerships, and driving sustainable commercial growth within industrial, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or electronics-focused markets. Position Overview The Director of Sales & Business Development will lead the development and execution of a structured business growth strategy designed to support long-term revenue expansion, customer retention, recurring service revenue, and market growth. The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership, operations, manufacturing, project management, estimating, and service teams to build repeatable sales processes, improve forecasting visibility, strengthen customer relationships, and support scalable organizational growth. Key Responsibilities Business Development Strategy & Growth Develop and implement a full-cycle business development and revenue growth strategy Build scalable sales systems, workflows, and business development processes Lead CRM selection, implementation, and sales funnel development initiatives Establish KPIs, metrics, and reporting structures aligned with company growth objectives Support marketing initiatives, customer engagement activities, and trade show participation Identify strategic target markets, customer opportunities, and partnership growth initiatives Customer Relationship Development Strengthen relationships with preferred contractors, industrial clients, and strategic partners Develop new business opportunities across commercial construction and service operations Lead prospecting initiatives focused on recurring service revenue and long-term customer development Improve forecasting accuracy and help stabilize demand through strategic account growth Build long-term customer relationships centered on responsiveness, trust, and operational execution Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution Collaborate with estimators, project managers, manufacturing, and operations teams to support projects from quotation through delivery Coordinate customer communication and commercial execution activities across departments Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings Support alignment between business development, operations, manufacturing, and service teams Help build scalable commercial infrastructure to support long-term organizational growth Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field 7-10+ years of business development or sales leadership experience Background within one or more of the following industries: Industrial electronics manufacturing Aerospace Military/Defense manufacturing Industrial manufacturing Proven success developing and growing customer relationships within manufacturing environments Experience building CRM systems, sales processes, and business development infrastructure Strong track record of revenue growth and customer development Preferred Experience with RFP, procurement, and industrial project lifecycle processes Experience with ERP/CRM systems including Made2Manage and/or Calcu Quote Experience supporting both commercial project-based and recurring service business models Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills What's Offered Executive leadership opportunity with direct involvement in company growth strategy Ability to shape long-term commercial direction and organizational expansion Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and growth-focused leadership environment Competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus opportunity, and benefits Opportunity to make a measurable impact within a growing manufacturing organization
