Sales Estimator-Must have experience in the Metal and fabrication industry

Must have experience in the metal and fabrication industry. We are seeking candidates who have previous quoting experience in a metal machining and fabrication environment, organized, detail-oriented and driven. This position manages all aspects of assigned accounts while continuing to promote new business.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in estimating parts in a machine shop environment. Analytical, communication and organizational skills. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, geometric tolerances and solid models Strong understanding of various metal types, fabrication and machining processes. Self-disciplined, self-starter Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel and basic email functions. Advanced math skills for precise project estimates HS Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities:

Point of Contact for all assigned customers. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents. Analyze blueprints to prepare cost, material and labor estimates. Create accurate quotes within our quoting system, ensure quotes are submitted in a timely manner. Communicate with customers regarding status of quotations and/or follow-up on submitted quotations.
