As a Sales Manager, you are a present, engaged, and supportive leader who develops and mentors your team to success by providing them with the tools, training, and consistent processes they need. You foster a positive, growth-oriented environment and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service while achieving sales targets. You lead by example—actively participating in the field, helping standardize best practices across regions, and recognizing achievements to build morale. Responsibilities Recruit, hire, onboard, and train RCs a structured, company-wide onboarding program that blends classroom learning, field shadowing, and hands-on practice, standardized across all regions. Provide extended mentorship for new RCs, including ride-alongs for the first 3-10 inspections and continued one-on-one coaching until they demonstrate full competency. Maintain consistent field presence to support RC development, customer interactions, and on-the-spot coaching, balancing this with administrative requirements. Ensure RC capacity levels are realistic for effective leadership—generally 5-6 new RCs or 8-10 experienced RCs. Conduct regular sales meetings, weekly 1:1 check-ins, and commission reviews; celebrate successes publicly (e.g., Roofing Herald call-outs) and provide constructive feedback. Build a strong team culture that fosters collaboration, recognition, and high morale despite operational challenges. Stay informed on the status of each RC's files; offer solutions and proactively help resolve issues, including escalations with customers or production teams. Coordinate with centralized teams (e.g., estimating, supplements, TRP/TPA, MRP, AR) to address process delays, escalate barriers, and ensure timely job progress. Standardize and enforce consistent sales processes, training, and tools across all regions to reduce inefficiencies and confusion. Assist with production tasks when needed, including inspections, meeting with homeowners, and picking up materials. Communicate company changes, expectations, and process updates clearly and in a timely manner, ensuring RCs remain informed and confident. Serve as a liaison between the RC team and leadership, ensuring messaging is consistent and authority boundaries are respected. Collaborate with the recruiting team to evaluate and select candidates with strong people skills and relevant sales experience, ensuring fit for the market. Integrate new hires effectively into the team through hands-on training, shadowing, and clear performance expectations. Manage administrative tasks efficiently, prioritizing RC development and customer service
