ROLE SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for strategic oversight and operational execution of the outside and inside sales and design teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales, Revenue, and P&L Leadership Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company revenue and margin objectives Drive consistent revenue growth, profitability, and forecast accuracy Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and ensure execution against plan Monitor pricing discipline, discounting, and margin performance KPI Ownership and Performance Management Establish, monitor, and enforce all sales, operational, and financial KPIs Own forecasting accuracy, pipeline health, and sales reporting integrity Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to executive leadership Ensure CRM compliance, data accuracy, and reporting discipline People Leadership, Hiring, and Training Lead all training initiatives related to sales execution, design consultation, and customer experience Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and development planning Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, ownership, and continuous improvement Develop Sales team members; develop and individual track KPIs; address performance deficits Front Desk and Customer Experience Leadership With Front Desk Manager, oversee front desk operations as the first point of customer contact, including service standards to ensure a high-end, luxury-level customer experience Operational Excellence and Cross-Functional Leadership Ensure accurate quoting in compliance with company policies and financial controls, order processing, and handoff to operations and warehouse teams Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance Identify process gaps and implement scalable improvements Strategic Leadership Execute company growth initiatives and strategic sales programs Provide executive leadership with clear reporting, insights, and recommendations Support long-term organizational scaling and leadership development
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Design, or a related field preferred Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in inside sales, outside sales, design sales, retail leadership, or customer-facing sales management Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior leadership role with responsibility for hiring, training, and performance management Demonstrated experience managing or influencing multi-million-dollar revenue streams and sales pipelines Proven track record of driving revenue growth, margin discipline, and operational accuracy Advanced proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting, forecasting tools, and KPI dashboards Experience in cabinetry, home improvement, luxury retail, or design-driven environments strongly preferred
