Texas (Field-Based Role) Position Overview Volleman's Family Farm is seeking a driven, entry-level Sales Representative with a college background to support expansion across independent grocery stores, restaurants, and local retail accounts. This role is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a foundation in sales within the food and beverage industry. You will be responsible for developing new accounts, supporting existing customers, and representing a premium, vertically integrated dairy and ice cream brand in the market. Key Responsibilities This role is primarily focused on acquiring new accounts and successfully onboarding them into the Volleman's program. You will serve as the main point of contact for each new customer, guiding them from initial outreach through first order, setup, and ongoing support. The position requires consistent prospecting within independent stores, convenience stores, restaurants, and specialty retail locations, with a strong emphasis on in-person visits and closing new business. You will lead the introduction of core product lines, including glass bottled milk, single-serve offerings, and ice cream, while educating customers on brand positioning, product attributes, and how to effectively sell through at the store level. You will also coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process, including order setup, delivery alignment, and issue resolution. Maintaining accurate and structured reporting on sales activity, pipeline development, and customer interactions is required to track progress and support continued growth. Qualifications A bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field. Strong academic performers with extracurricular leadership or internship experience are encouraged to apply. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, a high level of organization, and the ability to operate independently in a field-based role. A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and comfort engaging with new customers are critical. Interest in the food, agriculture, or consumer packaged goods industry is important, especially for candidates looking to grow within the company long term. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory is required.
